Activities on Interact can be created with a restriction on their access. This can be one of the following:

| Activiy Completion | Reqires Students to complete (or not complete) another activity. |
| Date | Restrict access until (or from) a specified date and time. |
| Grade | Requires students to achieve a specified grade. |
| User Profile | Control access based on fields within the Student's profile. |
| Restriction Set | Add a set of nested restrictions to apply complex logic. |
The most often used and arguably most effective implimentation of this feature is in the form of forcing students to complete a Module 1 before a Module 2 becomes available or a Lesson to be complete before a Quiz becomes available.
The following shows that the Reading Critically activity cannot be accessed until Interference and Bias has been marked as complete.
